According to Agents of Influence, Paul Manafort was an adviser to the U.S. presidential campaigns of Republicans Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and Bob Dole. In 1980, Manafort co-founded the Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm Black, Manafort & Stone. Manafort was the Chairman to Donald Trump during the 2016 Presidential Campaign and remained close with the President until his arrest.

Manafort often lobbied on behalf of controversial foreign leaders such as former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, former dictator of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos, former dictator of Zaire Mobutu Sese Seko, and Angolan guerrilla leader Jonas Savimbi. Lobbying to serve the interests of foreign governments requires registration with the Justice Department under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA); however, as of June 2, 2017, Manafort had not registered. On June 27 he retroactively registered as a foreign agent. wiki source

2018 Government Shutdown

Starting 2018 a shut-down

2018 Government Shutdown Timeline.

America started the year with a threat to shut down the government after Senate fails to pass the short-term budget bill 90 minutes before the midnight deadline. Now, 2 months before the midterms, President Trump is threatening to shut down the government over funding his border-wall. The way news and breaking stories come out in this administration, it is easy to forget about the government shut down we already had in 2018.

August Shutdown

Donald Trump is threatening to shut down the government over funding his border wall. Many are criticizing this move on Twitter over the problems people in Flint and Puerto Rico are still facing. Others criticise Trump’s campaign promise to make Mexico pay for the border wall. Whatever your views, you can keep track of the government shut down and how the story develops with this Government Shut Down Timeline.

The Russian Timeline

The 2018 Russia / Putin Timeline

2018 Russia News Timeline

The year started off with Russian scandals and as we pass the halfway point the scandals involving Russia and Putin have really started to escalate past anything ever seen in the country’s history. This Russian Timeline will update daily and will include headlines about Putin and Russia. The headlines are from American sources but they are not aimed to follow only the developments with the “Russian Probe”

After the Helsinki Summit, news about Russia, Putin, and Russian spies or involvement are on the top of most headlines. Republicans finally called out President Trump and forced the president to backtrack on his comments against the U.S. Intelligence Agencies. Admitting to a mistake is not something Donald Trump is particularly good at doing.

In an effort to control the narrative, and change the country’s focus away from the Russian summit, Trump has tried to revive the NFL Kneeling debate and thrown a temper tantrum against Iran, on Twitter.
